Should I talk to the police ?

August 12, 2014
People often wonder if they should talk to police when questioned about a crime. The short answer is "No!" It is seldom a positive result. Innocent people can appear nervous and say things they didn't mean. Police are skilled at quesioning and can cause unintended answers through the use of their skillS. These innocent mistakes can lead to disasterous results and criminal procecution. If unsure, you should respectfully request of an officer that you be allowed to consult a lawyer before answering any questions. The Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution allows this protection. Then, call HARDEE, MARTIN, DONAHOE, OWENS & WRIGHT, P.A. (731)424-2151!
